Welcome to The Cooperative Extension Program website. The triad of teaching, research and service is unique to the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences, which includes the Cooperative Extension Program, the primary outreach educational unit for Prairie View A&M University.

The Cooperative Extension Program is second to none in providing educational, research based information to families, youth, farm producers and communities in 24 Texas counties to help improve their quality of life.

Our priorities are to expand our programming to additional counties and continue to serve our clientele in the areas of Family and Consumer Sciences, Agriculture and Natural Resources, 4-H & Youth Development and Community and Economic Development.

Let there be no doubt that the Cooperative Extension Program, which is located in 11 of the 12 Extension districts, and in all six of the major urban centers in Texas, will continue to meet the needs of constituents as diverse as inner city youth in Houston, Texas to small farmers in the Rio Grande Valley.
